Enjoying yor Christmas?

Earlier I told you I was going to draw this drawing soon. Here it is.

Now, I tried out a new technique, called "pull out the light". I started off with coloring the paper all black, and then "drawing" by using my eraser instead of my pencil, to make the picture. It was suprisingly easy and fun!

It is the same technique as used in developing photographies. Only more craftier;)

I think it will work better by using coal next time, because then the color won't stick to the paper as much as the pencil do. And I've heard it is easy to make realistic picture-like drawings with this technique.

I'll have to try that out!:)

The bird has flown

Ok, should have blogged both yesterday and today for 16th and the 17th - but I just couldn't do it. Sorry. The bird has flown, and i busy elsewhere! Doing some serious christmas shopping, spending precious time with friends, sleeping in, wrapping presents, and watching the best movie ever tonight: Kongen av Bastøy (You all GOT to watch it! - It's the new Max Manus)

And there will be more: ice skating, more christmas shopping, wrapping and moving stuff to the new apartment.

But no worries, I will,  just let me find the time. I won't bes stressing with anything right now. Because I don't have to.

Christmas is in a week people! Rejoice!

IF - phenomenon - "bird in a cage"

This weeks topic in IF was phenomenon - and this phenomenon appears mostly on the end of every school term - among students.

Being caught up with exams and studying intense when you rather want to be social, is almost like being behind bars for a while - like a bird in a cage. 

I chose to call it a phenomenon because every student who has been studying hard for a an exam or three knows what I am talking about. The feeling of wanting to do everything else but studying, but you just can't! Your duties keeps you back from living the normal every day-life that you want - until exam is over.

So, I can't wait to be freed out from my cage tomorrow, and to fly out freedom! :)

Baking, of course, at the 12th!

This sunday went by at my sisters place, drinking koffee, chattering, and baking theese cute kake-stics for christmas (don't know their name in English - but in Norwegian: kransekakebiter).

I helped on the easy part!

Dipping into the chocolate!

 

My cute niese was quite upset she couldn't dip the stics into the chocolate her self, and make the kitchen a whole big mess...

            ...but then she was allowed to decorate theese marzipans, and then she was all right!

 

It was also fun to watch mommy put on icing. Mmmmm!

And tadaaa! 

Finished our first out of seven different kinds of cakes for christmas (got to bring some of them home). Only six more to go! (- haha, as if...) (Renate said she was going to bake one tonight, or what Renate? Makes it five then).

Forgot all about yesterdays post, the tenth... 

Ahem, well, not relly "forgot", but rather not in the mood. And there's no fun blogging without the right mood either! Blogging sholuld be fun, inspiring, bubbling with lightness and kreative ideas, and happen just because you feel like it. If not, then no blogging! Sad but just how it is:(

Hope I'll get my mood back! 

Until then, I am sitting here to do some home work for next weeks presentation (last thing I have to do before school ends in december). While Linda and Renate are soing som christmas shopping (sniff).

Alright, this sound like por-me-I-am-so-sad. But I'm really not. Looking forward to the chreistmasfest in Sandefjord tonight, and to sleep over at my sisters place until tomorrow!

So, better get started! Effective work means lots of snacks:

Coffe, marzipan (the white stuff in the plastic bag), chocolate, christmas porrige (riskrem!) and salty candy. Yam!

So I'll have a rather nice 11th of december, and i hopefully you too! :)

A short one to tell you that it's only 14 days left until christmas eve... That is in two weeks!

Seems like down town and people all over is getting more and more ready;)
(wuaaah, I have to get started with the gifts!)
